A while ago, (obviously at a different forum) I was requested to make a gollum skin, well, my attention span died pretty quickly, but I did get some parts done. If anyone wishes to take over what I started they're welcome to. While it isn't finished, I'd like to hear some criticism on what's done already. |

Can you show a picture of the skin in game or in war3 viewer. And how was it obious that you posted that skin at a different forum? |

I must admit that this is my first time seeing the skins in-game, and must sadly say I think they look horrendously ugly. :( I guess choosing the ghoul as a base for gollum was a stupid idea, as the ghoul is too skeleton looking and one major flaw is that the ghoul has those long claws... so yeah... Oh and, trust me, you don't want to see a screen of it in game. Just trust me on this. |

Check his register date "Jun 2004", i think thats what he meant. Not much i can say about the skin. The ghoul model i think was ok, if it werent so bony. You could just alpha the claws i think. |

'Find all posts by Mad_Panda' indeed, someone requested you a golem skin, congratulations on your very first post! i think andy already made a good gollum model/skin. if not, someone already tried and made it better than yours ;D. but you're right a ghoul is skeletic and have long claws with some hairs... and it doesn't say "gollum gollum" when you click on it. you should continue your skin, it will hardly look like gollum, but you can give a try, you will feel good that you finished the skin. |

Thanks for the tips, oh and could someone explain to me how I could alpha the claws, I don't really understand what Aardvark means (I don't have a modeling program, so as far as I know, there's no way to remove the claws from a skin.). |

Look at the guides to skinning in the post in the skinning and texturing forum. |
