All of these skins were created by me (Special Forces Hamster, www.specforham.s5.com) for my still-Beta map "Gathering Storm." I wanted all of the heroes for the map to have custom skins, so I created them myself. Most are just simple recolorings; a few I barely did anything to, some I revamped nearly the whole skin. All of these skins have been posted on this site under my name, so check them out if you'd like.

Add some more shading in about everyone single one besides the one that were just recolors and brightness/contrast change. But at least you made a lot of them :D !

looks like cnp and recolor mostly... i'd be better if you would put some more effort in each skin and dont make so much..

quality > quantity

Just to respond to everyone, I know some of the skins are pretty crappy. Towards the end, the skin-making really started to feel like work and I tried to just make the skins look as close to their characters as I could. If I ever do finish this map (it's generally an AOS-style map), I'll be sure to put my best effort into every one.

The ones I am most proud of:
  • Volrath - This model fit him very well, so it wasn't tough to make him look badass. If I do touch it up, I will remove the tail, since technically, he doesn't have one.
  • Gerrard - This was the first skin I did and I felt, since he was the central character, I should put the most effort into him.
  • Mirri - Probably my favorite. For this skin, I got to do something a bit different and it came out extremely well, IMO.

The ones I am least proud of:
  • Karn - I started this skin with a very detailed, complex layout, staying as true to Karn's markings and joints as possible. When I was finished, I saw that it wrapped completely wrong and everything was in the wrong place. I got frustrated and just used a Photoshop filter to get the job done. The skin you see now is basically just a placeholder until I do it over.
  • Greven - It was hard to find a model to suit him. I think I'll have to use the Blademaster next time or something similar, but this just didn't come out like I wanted it to. He's one of the main characters, and one of the coolest, so he should look it.

The ones that are much better in-game:
  • Crovax - His attached weapon and voice really make him seem creepy and send a chill down your spine. Just looking at the skin won't give you the full effect.
  • Vhati - Also one of my better skins, he is equipped with dual-claws in-game that complement his animations very well and make him one of my favorites to play.
  • Tsabo Tavoc - She is equipped with dual DH-swords, making for some slice-and-dice action. Also, hearing the banshee voice on a spider really creeps you out.
  • Selenia - In-game, she has large black wings and a wicked-looking sword. These aren't a part of the skin.

Well, I guess that's enough for now. I am completely open to constructive criticism. Just try to minimize the "this skin sucks" comments and try to give suggestions on improvement instead. To see what some of these characters were meant to look like, do a search on this website for their name. (Try "Flavor Text" if "Card Name" doesn't turn up anything.)
