First of, this is the working name. If you have a better one then please post it here after reading the story. This campaign is set 100 years after TFT. So all the heroes we know of (Thrall; Jaina; Kael; Illidan... etc) are dead. New heroes and villains now arise to replace them. Twenty years after the Lich King's rise to power. The Scarlet Crusade succeeded in their ambitious mission. To free Lordaeron of the Forsaken. The Forsaken had nowhere to flee but to Durotar under the relative safety of the Horde. The Undead Scourge then attempted a second invasion of the world. Which ended in its undoing. The Lich King had been slain at Icecrown when the Alliance's armies -- the Kaldoreis, Dwarves, Gnomes and Men -- assaulted his fortress. Fifty years later, Lady Jaina Proudmoore and Warchief Thrall died. With the two monarch's death. The old hatreds between Men and Orcs rose up once again. And the Armies of the Alliance launched a daring invasion of Durotar attempting to destroy the Horde for good. With Thrall's death, the Orcs once again embraced their old Demonic Powers and the Forsaken who grew larger in numbers with each passing day. Taught the Orcs the dark art of Necromancy. The Tauren, seeing the Orcs transformation into savage brutes, left the Horde and hid in Mulgore. Their current whereabouts are unknown. Now, the Horde and the Alliance once again battle for Azeroth. But from the Twisting Nether comes an ancient and forgotten threat. The Outlanders -- Blood Elves; Nagas and Draneis -- are charging in back in the world of Azeroth through the Dark Portal in the hopes of gaining their revenge on the races of Azeroth. Warcraft IV: Back to War This campaign will have three factions: The Alliance Made of Men, Dwarves, Gnomes and Night Elves. They use Druidic and Holy Light mystical powers. Their units will be the fastest of the game, but they will suffer from weak units. Their magics will be reasonably good. The Horde Made of Orcs, Undead, Jungle Trolls and Ogres. They will use Warlock and Necromantic powers. The Horde will enjoy the strongest units of the game, but will suffer from a bit of slowness. Magics are like the Alliance, reasonably good. Outlanders. Made of Blood Elves, Draneis and Nagas. They will use various types of magics. Mixed from Warlock/Arcane/Water and shaman. They will enjoy the best mystical powers of the game. But will suffer from weakness. Speed is rather reasonable. Differences to Warcraft III: -Heroes may not revive. -Considerably larger armies. This is an army based game, not a hero based one. Very much like in Warcraft I and II. -New spell upgrade system that works like in Wc II where you can purchase any spell you want at any time. -Heroes are much weaker. -The game itself will have a feel from the former warcraft games. -The mod won't be separated in three campaigns like in Wc III. It will be ONE campaign. But in this single campaign then you get to play with all factions. Very much like in Age of Mythology. What has been done already: -The tech tree for all three factions is done. -New skins -New models -New icons -Custom music -The object editing for the three factions is about 80% done. Only a few minor bugs to check for. -Storyline is 95% done. -Campaign Script is still under development. However the first few missions have been decided on and the main plot has been decided on as well. Need any help? Yup, -A skinner would be most welcome for very few skins to do. Only some that I did not find at the download section or couldn't do myself. -A modeler, that wouldn't be a pure modeler. Just for geo-merging and anims transfer. -A mapper or two to help me with the maps. What kind of help are you looking for? I am NOT looking for the BEST mappers/skinners around (they usually annoy me because they're better then me). I don't mind if you're a rookie. There is only ONE thing I am looking for in my team mates: dedication. I don't want them to run away and stop answering my Emails in he first week of the mapping. If you're devoted to the project, then you're welcome to join. However, if you're already in like 20 projects. Then don't bother joining. You'll just waste my time. You don't have to be the best in your line to join. But you must be able to work well though. I'm not asking for pros. But that is not an invition for people who have only skinned/terrained twice in their life to come and join while not even knowing where the tools are. Whats the team? Skinner: Me Mapper: Archean Triggerer: I Cinematics: *raises hand* Race designer: Aye! Modeler: The Request forum If you have any suggestions. Then please post them. Any idea for a new name? Post! Wanna join? Post! Well you get the point. -Archean --edit-- the story was done fairly quickly. Therefore its not very detailed. Expect a better and detailed history soon. |

Thanks to Hell-Bovine for the models and I can't remember who did the Brute skin. I'll post who it was when I remember. The Brute is the tier one melee unit of the Horde. The Warlord is going to be the main hero of the Horde campaign-part. Orc Warlord Orc Brute |

Don't worry, it will see an end. :8 For the skins, like I said there is only a few. I'll send you some details for some of them via PM. You can choose which you want to do. As for the two threads thing. I've noticed that most people just look at a single forum and I wanted to raise my chances of getting help. |

Post examples of your previous work. Even though I did say that I am not looking for pros. I do need people who are good nevertheless. Not experts, just good. |

I dont know if you already have me down, but i can geoset merge and do other basic model edits. I also do terrain. One more thing Archean: i noticed that in your project is that a lot of the skins are done in different styles. You should have all your skins in one style. The warlord, troll and brute all match up nicely. The swordsman and the blood rider do not match that style. Its your mod, just trying to help you. :D |

you freaking idiot warcraft 4 hasnt happened and there is no story line in the actual lore so dont make any crap up...call it something other than warcraft 4...world of warcraft hasnt happened yet, read the www.blizzard.com history thing....it goes right up to world of warcraft. i havent read the story, but the description sounded rather dumb, you could of just said, "I'm making an army based rpg 100 years after warcraft 3" good god....change the title and theres noone left to teach the orcs necromancy, they cant go back to there demonic ways because the gate and the warlocks are dead. |
