Ok, i want 2 make it so when i press a button a unit would "jump". This is how im going 2 do it, let me know if im doing it wrong or if there is an ezer way. Im going 2 make an ability called jump. Trigger - unit starts using ability, unit type = whatever type it is, then animation - change triggering units flying height to 200 at a rate of 1 second, Make triggering unit invulnerable, animation - change triggering units flying height to 0 at a rate of 1 second, make unit vulnerable. Would that work? |

It'd work fine if the unit is already flying. If it isn't, the way I'd do it is making an ability "like a firebolt or something" that doesn't deal any damage or stun or anything and allow it to target terrain. Then I'd just make the missle art look like the unit casting the ability. Then I'd set up a trigger that makes the casting unit invisible/invulnerable for the duration of the jump and reappearing at the target point of ability being cast. |

That wouldn't work frost, missiles play the birth, stand then death animation of the models they use. What your method would do is chuck a hero to die at the target location. Ninja, the way this is normally done (in TGS or whatever) is to have copy of the original hero that flies/hovers. Only then will the flying height animations work. |
