something i never knew, if you change the max height of an object to lower than the height of acctaul doodad you places, then save, close and reopen WE. it resets all the frigging heights, so now im stuck with a feild of corn thats 1/3 of the height is supposed ot be, and i cant just select the whole area as its full of fences and rover rushes as well. do anyone know a way to select all of one kind of doodad in a shortcut?

Shavar
click on the doodad you want to be selected, click on 'Edit>Select All Special'
That selects all the doodad of the same type on the map then

Just Select by click and drag, and deselect the things you don't want to mess with with a shift-click

im practaceing makeing feilds before i start a farm, ive still got a way to go, as one feild has got around 3000 doodads in it :\ . what i did was make a copy of the corn doodad, and place it along fences, then i roated them all randomly, so they didnt all face the same way. then i added some tinted river rushes as undergrowth, then i added more corn, at about 1/3 of the hieght of the origonal crops i placed. this time, instead of takeing one doodad, copying it into rown, then copying and pasting the rows i placed them all individauly, so they would rotate randomly, without me having to click and rotate all 3000 of them. so to do this, i took the same corn doodad, and decreased its size to about 1/3, so the max scale of the very tall corn is now 1/3 of what it origonaly was. so when i closed WE for the night, and came back the next day, all the corn had reset into height to 1/3 of the height i placed the origaonl ones, ive made them all taller now, but about half of them should be 1/3 of the size they are now

why dont you reset the custom doddad, and then set the sizes again?

Another short-cut to selecting them all would be Crtl+Shift+~. Just so you know.

because all of them are the same custom doodad, but some need ot be smaller, so i cant do anything to the stats of the odoodad, as it will change all of them

So why don't you make a box, the same way you select units in game, and select the doodads you want to shrink, then shrink it?

P.S. Draco actually put the infernal thumb back, in answer to my request !

their all togeather, as in theres rows of crops that should be the eqivilent of 2 footmen high, then there are lots of crops mixed in with them, (also in the same rows) that should be just a little shorter than a footman

next time use several custom doddads, so u wont have this problem, i think the ezest way is to jus start over, make 3 diff custom doddads with the same model, make them diff size and place them.
