Minimap scale...

Hi,

I am making a survival map where you choose a hero first. After you choose your hero I reset camera bounds so you cant see the "hero choose point", but when I do this, the minimap stays the same. This is really annoying because you don't see on screen what you see on minimap (your hero isnt there where the minimap says he is.)

I know this is possible because pyramid escape re-scales the minimap aswell, and because pyramid isnt protected I had a look. I cant find anything in the triggers to rescale the minimap!

so.... How do you change the minimap scale???

thx for your help

I wish i had an answer for you - but i would like to add my voice to the plea. I've looked around for ways to alter the minimap in game, and found none. it's been done, but like he said there seems to be no rhyme or reason in the triggers of the map(s) in question.

If you care why I want to supress that damnable minimap, read on:

I've been experimenting with maps that use fixed camera angles instead of the standard game cam, similar to platform rpgs like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII or VIII. so far I love love love the result. The trouble is, when you make the map look so cinematic, it looks like crap unless you turn on vision on for the whole map. This poses no problem in gameplay, cuz you can still pick what they see through use of camera angles. The problems is that with the vision on, all the players can see all the units on their minimap, revealing my PRECIOUS PRECIOUS SECRETS!!! So I'll take anything. If i can zoom the minimap in to cover only one grid square, SO BE IT! it'll be ugly, but i'd take it. What I'd really really like, though is a way to stop units from showing up on the map. Eh, whatever.
