Ok, i haven't been here in like 6 monts so im not really sure if this is the right branch of the forums for my question, but anyway: When you open a map as an MPQ there are a quite a few different files with different extensions, a few for example are .wtg, .j, .mmp, .wts, .doo etc. Ive kinda figured out that each file represents a different part of the map, such as .doo is for doodads and .j and .wtg is partly for triggers. I want to try editing the unit/custom unit data by extracting the file from one map, inputing it into another map and the re-inserting it into the original map, all i need to know is what is the file extension or extensions, if anyone knows please post. Thanks. |

If you just want to do unit data there's an easier way to do it. Open up the map with the data you want transferred in the World Editor. Hit F6 to open the object editor and hit the 'Units' tab. Click on file and then on 'Export Unit Settings' and save the file somewhere. Now, open up the map you want the units transferred into and again, open up the object editor and click the 'Units' tab. Go to file, and click 'IMPORT Unit Settings' and select the file you just exported from the other map. --DoCa |
