Hi, I remember I saw this before but I dont remember the solution: I basicly want a mini-farm, but the splat is 4x to big. How do you remove it? Sorry, The answer just escapes me :/ |

Ok, I don't know much on the subject, but I'm pretty sure that the farm shares its splat with other buildings of similar size. It's probably impossible to change the splat without model editing the actual splat file, and that won't work over b.net anyway. For the most part, this is far too much work for such a small problem (no pun intended) -Insaniteus- |

That much I know, and I was hoping to get around it :D Do you know any building w/o a splat that I could base somethign off of? Thx in advance. BTW, if I make a new texture map (as tga), a) what has to be transparent and b) will it work over bnet? |

Well I decided I'd have to search through unitsui.slk for: isBldg = true preventPlace = unbuildable requireplace = _ uberSplat=_ All I've been able to find is either: Buildings w/o Splat but not w/o preventPlace (in game looks like u can build over buildings) Buildings with Splat but with the correct preventPlace Does anyone know a solution? |

Guest | What exactly is a splat? |

Well, have you ever build a farm or a castle? In the farm, you see the "pavement" like tile that appears under it? Thats a splat. In a castle, you know the grassy area and pavement type area inside the round wall? Thats a splat. In reality, models are made w/o them, but they get put in to make it look better. The problem is, if you shrink a model, the splat stays huge and looks, well, retarded :D |

Guest | Well, this is easy, just base the unit off the Circle of Power. |

Guest | if you base it on a circle of power it can be built anywhere, i.e. on rocks and tiles. This is a problem for most people. |
