Trigger Havens attempt to make rep better...

Well, as I read JohFN's sig, I realized that it is very true. Everyone in the Art Section is more respected than the people who make the maps, not make them look pretty. So, I am starting a campaign so to speak. Our goal, is to get more people, higher reputation. Let's think of this as a race. We want Trigger Haven to rule the Art Forum.

I have no control over the rep system, as I am only a mod. I will say this, rep needs to be handed out steadily. If you get help from someone, whether or not they actually solved your problem. They tried. They took time out of thier life to help you out. You owe them. Now, of course there are a few exceptions. Such as if they just spammed in your thread, or flamed you or anything. Point of the matter is, I want to see more Positive Rep going around, and not negitive.

Boost your psot count, contribute more to the Trigger Haven. Ask questions so you can hand out more rep.

Here's the catch. Me and JohnFN seem to be the only ones in the Trigger Haven that give out rep. We break our 24 hour limit everyday. So, I am going to ask Cubasis to see if he will override this. So that we can hand out rep to the people who hand out rep. For every say 5 rep you hand out, we will award you.

Upping your post count, will add to your rep point influence. If you gain more rep, you will alos be more influencial. Let's try to make the Trigger Haven a place for constant questions and the least flaming.

Very well said. Although not all of it is true (COUGHEVERYDAY?!?COUGH) it still holds truth. As more people get more rep, people will have more power, and then more and more rep will start going around. Negitive rep should still be given, but only to people who did something that is completely rude or uncalled for.

I doubt if any mod at all can actually override the 24 hour limit as this reputation system was built by the creators of vbBulliten instead of the forumers. Still though, this should have been said a lot earlier, and I hope to see more rep go around.

I get no rep and I'm one of the guy who helps people most. Whatever, I don't really care once you got two bars its not really important.

The point is. Rep is becoming more of a weapon than an ally. I help tons of people just like you weaddar, but because you have those systems, and people know you. You get rep. Alls I have is the fact I know some stuff. We are almost matched in posts for gods sake.

How can you say you get no rep when your the guy in the trigger forums that has the most rep? Is it just that you got a lot at one time and then never got any more?

We shouldnt start some huge discussion of rep. The point is, people, give rep. More like, give more rep.

eh postcount++ was never my or the rep systems attempt.
if you think my 1.7k posts are me thinking i deserve more rep your wrong. At one point i cherished my admin powers because I set my post count to a negative number (another admin set it back to what it was.)

BTW , thanks to blizzard's crappy challenges I am going to restart weekly mapping challenge since next week

Yea, I have seen those. They make me question Blizzards thought process. Is the Spell Contest still open? I might have a spell I want to enter.

I'd mantain the spell contest if I get at least 3 spells this week
