In a project that I am currently developing, one of the character's weapon attachments is a book. Unfortunately, I've no proficiency in modelling and my searches for one such model online has yielded no results. So I come to you, the fine denizens of WC3 Campaigns, for some help on the matter. I need a book model, as in the type that the Paladin/Necromancer/Warlock carry with them. That's it. It doesn't even have to have the opening animation as it does in the Paladin's spells. Rather, it just needs to be a six-sided rectangular prism that can be attached to the hand of a unit. Skinning won't be a problem, as you can probably extract all you need from the Paladin or Necromancer models as they are. Just let me know what base model you used. Reply to this thread, send a private message, or e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions or wish to fulfill my petty request. Thanks again. ;) |

I also sent you a Private Message on this, but I'm not certain if it got through. The Paladin book model you made for me has a slight problem with the collision, or at least I believe so. No matter where or to whom I attach it, the book appears to float in space beyond their hands. I'm sure this is only a minor issue, however, and can be easily remedied. Thanks again. Here is a picture to let you know what I'm talking about. ![]() |

If your using a special effect trigger to attach it, you should specify the attachment point. in this case I think you either want "hand right" or "hand left". |

I did use those strings. In fact, I tried just about every attachment point. However, the book inevitably ends up floating there in space. Hopefully it's just a problem with the geoset and not irreconcilable. |
