Well since oinker made the model to be played in game, may as well make it work in Warcraft3. Ive downloaded about 20 models or so from wc3sear.ch and Im planning on reskinning a number of nice models which had not so great skins or non warcraft looking (like the NWN dragon for example ).

Anyway, heres the orc I worked on for awhile. Would be quite interesting if it was used in a map where you could pick up armor/helms/weapons along the way because the model has all these parts separate. No helm on an orc makes for a change. I tried googles but it didnt match with the purple almost magical style clothing he will have. It has a small issue on the face with line down, this should be dealt with in the future. Theres no alpha channel. Its still very wip, some areas are just flats of one color still. Most advanced area is the face.

Comments on the color scheme, armor style and generaly how to make this guy look really awesome would be appreciated.

You know, I came to the realization that you do skin very warcraft. BUT u skin very world o warcraft(especially the actual skin). I mean exactly like it, more like samwise probly wanted it. Its almost as if u worked 4 them. I have to say that we may not get along the best but ur are one of the top skinners here, and seeing things like this fro u is really good. I know that was a tad off topic so ill get 2 ur skin.
Well its very awesome of course. But its World of Warcraft shaded. Ur skin is always so soft making it seem more realisyic/cartoony at the same time, But this dosent matter because it still fits in very well. But if ur going for a WC3 look you have to up the contrast on ur skins if u look at wc3 skins there are alot of hard lines and in some cases black lines, like a comic. Anywyaz the whole thing with redoing skins is a great idea. I wanted to do that ages ago but iI have NO time.
another thing Ill be co taking over Mocks warehouse. We are going to make it nothing but PREMIUM quality skins models and icons. I just wanted to know if u wanted to do a few exclusive skins 4 the site.
anywayz I know I wrote a bible and there is prob CRAZY miss spellings, but im just trying to be more helpful 2 the community no that I have more time.

Will you ever release any of these?

Yes eventually. This skin has no map/campaign for a home so it will have to go to the downloads section graveyard.
Thanks Egg, appreciate the comments.
For the most part its finished now, just the brown of the belt is wrong still.

Can you fix the line in the face? Its like you forgot to skin some pixel and they showed black. Or is it the model O.o?

Looks very good. I think his skin is too bright. Try toneing it down a bit or make it darker. It just needs more details I can't wait for you to finish. The helmetless orc looks really great. The head is verywell down. Nice work.
I like your av. Ha I forgot his name but Phantasy Star

I realize i dont post much- but this has moved me to do so:
great skin- the only real issue that i see that you could maybe fix up is the head of the helmetless orc- i dunno why, but the hair i think ruins it- perhaps a bald look or a tatoo or something? the full head of hair just doesnt seem.... orcish. otherwise- impecable work! congrats.

Yes the hair could be better with a pony tail or something, its because we are so used to seeing orcs with long hair. I thought it would make him look more unique/young. I could add a Zidane bald spot.
For the color of his skin, I used the palette of the grunt but its laking the thick black lines which make it seem brighter, Ill add more dark spots. White background doesnt help I guess.
Oh and Mock1, its a HuCast.

looks verry nice indeed...

but egg is right, its more wow then warcraft. becouse the warcraft units appear quite small on the creen, having that low contrast could result into one green blob... so it is recommended to at least darken the shadown some more...

other then that...

OMG THE PULSING REPZOR INFERNALROXOR!!
