The repository is one of the few locations where forum necromancy is considered acceptable. (Well if the resurrecting post is pertinent) However, if you are reviving a thread from several months ago, you should rep++ its creator. Its really unfair to force them to try to remember thier old APIs when they pull them out like a factory, and worse off when you ask an obscenely obnoxious question like "Hey, can you make it do this and this for me, which is completely derivative of what your project goal is? THANKS!" I may be venting, but right now two of my old threads have seen recent resurrection, and I'm scared some of my other old ones will find themselves at the top of this forum Its nice for you to say you like my system, hey I like them too, but maybe you can give me some reputation for it. After all, if I gloss over the repository (which I admittedly do) I may miss your question but if I see I got new rep on thread I'll ussually check it out. Its just the nice thing to do. Give something back to the author. |
