Hey there, actually I'm working on a model that is from the other game. It has many polygons, not as War3 :( So I want to reduce the polygons from the model. Does anyone know how to reduce polygons? I would appreciate it if you could help me :) * Edit : Also, the model doesn't look like smooth, lets say like, I can see the edges. Anyone knows why? |

You can manually optimise it by collapsing selections of vertices. There is also an optimiser tool that you can use once you have finished with the modeling overall, as it will screw over any symmetry you may use. To smooth it, apply smoothing groups to faces/polygons, and press F9 to see a render (3ds Max). |

warcraft 3 applies smooth on each model ingame independently from the smooth modifier you added or you did not add in 3DS |

Just use the MultiRes Modifier in 3ds. You can selcect fix points so that these won't be reduced, and then you can type in the % of the polis that you want. If you want to know more about that, there is a tutorial in 3ds how to make a monster-hand, and there they show how to use the multires modifier. ![]() |
