I'm a novice skinner and was wondering how do you remove parts of the skin?

Basically, I want to remove part of the Bloodmage's hood/crown thing from his clothing.

I don't have any "Alpha" channels. It just has: RGB, Red, Green, and Blue.

actually, that can be done with simple mdl editing. just import these two files into your map as-is. then use the model WITHOUT the "_portrait" after it for your model.

if you dont want to use them and just want to get some skinning xperience in, dont use them, but theyre here if you need them.
