Adding line of sight blockage to doodads..

Is there anyway to add line of sight blocking to doodads? I have like.. mm.. 15,000 wall parts in a maze like fasion, and i need to make it so u cannot see past each wall.. will this require me to line up los blockers thru all the damn doodads?

That would suck on levels that cannot be found on earth.

If you look in the Object editor, and select patching blocker (ground) and line of sight blocker and compare them, I only see one differens "Art - Occlusion Height". I think if you set the occlusion height to a high number, it will work as a line of sight blocker.

Try modifying Cliff Height in the Doodad panel? Might work.

LOS-blockers have cliff height 0, so I dont think that would work...

I'm trying to add los blocking to lets say.. a piece of wall. I dont see occlusion height on a wall doodad >.<

what you can do is use the cliff to make the maze and increase the size of the wall doodads and cover the cliff with them ^_^

No - thats not good.. blah.. can u add los blocking via a region?

Im looking for anyway to make my life easier.. adding 4,000 los blockers side by side really sucks... especially when ur comp is so slow that it takes 2 mins to move the screen over.. (damn 25,000 dooads).

Use a vision modifier, in a region u dont want them to see in, but then when they get there, they cant see in it

I've got a demo map for you, if you use these, please give me credits.

Note: The unit will dissapear every now and then but the vision doesnt, and the unit remains selected.

well, trees block vision, im sure u could copy a tree, make it indestuctible or unkillable in whatever fashion u like, and change the model to the wall. That seems like it would work unless im not understanding what you're asking...

Bah, thanks for trying to help everyone.. I just sucked it up and placed all the los blockers.. took 4,834 of them, but its done.
