np bro.

We're here to help.

That's an interesting pic... but you should have pre-sketched it first.

And for some reason... all your pics seem to look flat... It might be the lack of shading... or the foreshortening.

Here's a good base to use for when you are drawing... it's both versatile and is anatomically correct.

Loomis' manakin is awesome.

As well as the you need to work on the head drawing part.

Head over to www.polykarbon.com and check out some of the head drawing tuts.

I'm sorry if this post lacks encouragement... but you have the skill and the desire to draw... I just want to help you achieve what you want to achieve.

ok, i think ill practice a lot in anime style (manga watever), it was my idea at first but after 2 drawing of theses ive been told: once you master realism you master all

Need to buy some new stuff like a wooden mannequin and a circle stencil (faster that way) maybe thinking about DRY pastels (hate oil pastel)

About the drawing itself: well its probably flat because i made almost no details and no shading, was planning to try the multply thing, beside that i master more the female anatomy than guy one, strange enough i started on with the arm was suppose to be a girl, just made it in a guy and like you said i didnt prescketch, i have a bit more problem drawing in my mother house, i sketch eith the tablet on myself so its always a bit curvy, i need a real working place with a table at least

Oh and thx for the tutorial i was actually searching some

ok this sucks... i was replying and had a big long text and all froze...

thanks im glad i made you come back to draw and anime at that!
i think manga is the books no? anime is the shows... mixup.

My advice: If you have infinite ammount of ink and a good printer, print out a batch of artwork from artist you like admire and games that you play, they always help inspire, I always have a batch of feng zhu and hyung and samwise when i draw besides me even if I dunt look at all the pics.

My Comment on the pic: It looks flat not really 3d but you're begginin but I like to give a good comment than a stupid useless flattering one. The simple concept is orignial the lack of details doesn't matter. His hair is ok but his face is very round and not very human nor anime like. He doesn't have eyebrows nor ears! waaa I suggest you use a ruler when you need straight lines unless its ur style. The hands are well done they can use improvement but there ok for now. I suggest you make the belt larger add more muscle definition but to get better you must practice practice!!!

-----

1st site: polykarbon... good tuts good anime ref art... great stuff even ps tuts! and fx stuff...
2nd: same thing choose wateva your more confortable with.
3rd: feng's site (go in the how i work section) is more on how to plan your piece... and it also shows what he uses (i have most of the stuff he uses, french curves, circle and oval tools, pens, markers,) I suggest you jst get a decent pen for inkin, normal pencil for sketching, blue pencil with eraser for laying out the lines and inkin em and erasing afta and a ruler... The oval tools and circle tool and french curves i use rarely since my drawings are character oriented (and feng is environnments) so dunt buy useless things and that mannequin... (i went to Omer Deserres today thats a art shop accross quebec...) no good... tried putting it in a dynamic pose... bleh... you dont need that. Use people ^o^ Watch em... WATCH everything around you... I get ideas from everything and integrate them in a weird way, that what makes stuff original.
Pastels? ionno the kinds but i hate em lol but thats personal lol

ok another lil way of working advice:
-K decide how you get your ideas, from daily life or while sketching...
-sktech out and waste paper... discovering wat you can do with that particular idea (which can be a particular clothin u say on a person, game you played, emotion)
-Put sum music on but use at ur own risk! you might end up late at night lol
-and presketch with blue pencil now your final drawing.
-ink it and wait and erase the blue out and scan and show off! weee

that's all.

if you cant draw a good circle it kinda means you gotta practice a little more... a good simple circle outline for the face, a ring, or something like that you dont need the stencil, but if its something really round (sun, clock) then youd use it i guess

fingers... go easy, like deathlegionare, use 'mitten' hands... but they're more like chibi hands but o well... the chibihands are faster and easier to use, but they bring the picture down more if you cant draw em right

Acually i can draw circles easily just want a faster way, always useful for pupils for exemple and for the hand im fine with them actually they would look way better if i would have worked on a table instead of my sketchbook which is on me, dont have much space

I started a new one already, this time i looked a bit at tutorial the head got the right shape, have ears, nose, mouth just having a bad time with eyes theyre so many way to do them, i got half of an hairstyle so far, at all its look more like korean style so far

Hmmm... he appears to be a little too happy to have an arrow stuck in his shoulder. He should probably be "Aaaarrggghhh!"-ing. :8

If I could draw, I would. Ahh..screw it. Everyone's a critic.

i guess you get better with experience, i cant stand my first drawing now, to be honest i do have some experience since i was painting when i was like 8 years old and was drawing a lot (probably the best in ppl i knew) but now its something else, when you are 8 you dont care about proportion shading and stuff like flat, ect... (yes i was drawing some kind of power rangers on skateboards)
