Here's my problem. A while back I was into advanced modding for SEVERAL other games. I got into WC3 much later. Before, I was creating models with friends and I was much into DBZ, therefore I made models for the DBZ chars.. ALL of them, in every form or ability possible. Here's my problem. They ARE in .mdl format, yet they aren't in the same format that blizzard uses. The converter won't convert them to .mdx, AND I no longer have my 3D Studio Max. What I need: I need someone to take these models, rip the skins, and make them work in WC3. They already have all of the animations, attacking, getting hit, dying, running, etc.. I'll post a few pictures of my models. Does anyone think they can help me? Edit: I just wanna throw in that I have done over 150 custom models.. so If someone wants to help.. make sure you are experienced. Btw, you will get full model credit on my map when released. This RPG is expected to crush all other DBZ maps. |

One more thing. The modeler that helps me with these, must be VERY experienced. These are basic models. I will need someone to see why they don't work in wc3, and make them work in wc3. Also, all of the animations are there, and possibly more that arent needed. I need someone who can remove un-needed animations from the models. They must also be able to create attachment points (only if needed). You will be given MUCH credit if you can help me complete this project. The modeler that helps does not have to help me do all of these, I will only need one or two at a time, and perhaps only every couple days. I'm begging.. someone please help! This could really be a BIG help in creating my rpg. |

They won't work because they are the wrong kind of mdl file. Were they made for Neverwinter Nights? In which case its VERY understandable. You'll need to see if someone can convert them into a WC3 mdl file |

Cookie had done this before (never winter night models converting).. Maybe you remember the Drako Lich or the Ancient Dragon Lord? And of course the Beholder ;) Those r all from NWN!! Contact him and he may help you... :D |

I've been meaning to ask Cookie how to convert them myself, along with finding out how to access the models from the two expansions. If I could, then I'd release a Basilisk |

wow, nice models, maybe you could send em to said modeller with some way to get them into Max, and that way they could be re exported and used :) If you can do this ill gladly do it |

Actually the models were originally done for Half-Life until a group of us started to break off and work on a stand-alone game. I just need a modeler that can convert them to work in WC3. I would do this myself if it wasn't for the loss of my 3DSMax when I bought an Alienware a few months ago. |

I'd also like to note that I have models of several other characters, not just DBZ characters. I have: Crash Bandicoot Wolverine Stegosaurus Velociraptor Brachiosaurus SEVERAL other dinosaurs Hummer (Yes, the Army Jeep) Quad Runner (Good idea for a mount, eh?) Vampire in Blue Tux Several random gang members Zell Bert (Yes.. sesame street) TigerLady Geoff the Snowman Wookie (Yeah... u guessed it) Bomberman Daffy Duck Neo (Matrix) Blastoise Pirate Ironman Thor Spawn Mr. Hankey (South Park) Boba Fett Evil Ernie Megaman Bender (Futurama) Casper Martian (Mars attacks) R2-D2 Spongebob Squarepants Professor Chaos (South Park) Elmer Fudd Mojo (Power Puff Girls) Cloud (FFVII) STrooper (Star Wars) Legoman Ryoko Marge Simpson Rayman Gumby Tux (Linux) Marvin the Martian Lara Croft Green Goblin Robocop Mario Brak Tazmanian Devil Homer Simpson Dr. Evil (Austin Powers) Sonic the Hedgehog Krusty the Clown Darth Vader Mr. Burns Samus Magneto (X-Men) The Grinch Little Red Riding Hood Batman Johnny 5 Abe Nearly All Gundams Snoopy Boba Fett The Hulk Team Rocket Flik THOUSANDS MORE. Note: these are roughly 25% of the FAMOUS CHARACTER models. The Famous character models make up roughly 30% of my model database. I have many more models that range from medieval characters, to soldiers, to weapons, abilities. BUT, they are mainly Half-Life and Quake 3 model formats (.mdl). So if we could get together a conversion team, we would have thousands and thousands of models to use in our maps. All maps include all animations and skins, but need to be converted to WC3 Model Formats. |

Actually, yes I do. I've got a full-time job and a girlfriend that I spend all of my spare time with. The models weren't produced by only me. I was part of a team that developed models for various games to be used in mods or add-on/add-ins. There were 8 of us, all excelling if different parts of modeling. If someone out there knew how to edit Half-Life .mdl files to WC3 format, then I could start sending out my models and have someone help me out on my RPG. |

Well, here's my out-take on that. The models used in the game are normally in .mdl format. My models are .mdl format. Yet they don't work on WC3 or the converter won't convert them to .mdx. So even if I had 3dsmax, I wouldn't know how to edit them to make them work in WC3, which is why I, at least, need someone to take a look at them for me, and tell me what's missing. |

they are different formats of mdl, the warcraft 3 mdl is a different model format entirely to the half life one, so naturally the converter wont work on it. And no, I wasnt being a bit hard, I was joking. |
