A day ago I started making this fortress, I just thought the idea was cool after seeing some others like it. Won't let me upload due to my slow internet, so here are the links to where I've hosted it. Any opinions, good or bad, would be appreciated. http://217.158.94.106/~roh/OrcFortress1.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/OrcFortress2.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/OrcFortress3.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/OrcFortress4.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/OrcFortress5.jpg |

Really nice job. I'd however add more details, like towers, metallic objects, flags, pikes (like on orc buildings) ... maybe not torches cause it's a wooden fortress, but you see my point ? Anyway nice job ![]() |

Very nice job, good use of doodads (even tinted them), I like it, and uhm yeah what Armel said. |

Thanks for the feedback. I will improve on it. Although I'm not sure how to make it walkable, it's still fun to look at. |

Actually, it's hard to put much of anything on top of the wood. The surfaces are made of tables, and I don't think you can stack doodads like that. |

give the table the pathing: NONE and use pating blockers and invisible platforms, at least thats how I do it. |

yes that works, i also agree with lordcarnage666 and armel should look good after u added the details |

Ok, here's my semi-final version. 3 pics this time. http://217.158.94.106/~roh/WoodenFort1.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/WoodenFort2.jpg http://217.158.94.106/~roh/WoodenFort3.jpg The primitive fortress walls were a great addition. I was trying to stretch a barrel enough to set it on the wood, and found that it made a great wall piece. Added some buildings, lanterns, cages, and some other stuff too. |

looking better......now jus add details like sword racks and trash and prop doddads ![]() |

I'll have to remake it in that case, so I can add cliffs below the tables. To make the surfaces, I just raised the Z on the tables a lot, I wasn't really thinking about adding decorations then. |

well, its orc terrain. weve all seen it before. recycled ideas. but still good. needs some original spice though. |

noooooo dont start over u dont have to, first go to advanced, click reset object height, the place a doddad, like an armour rack or something like that, the select it, hold crtl + pg up that should raise ur doddad, and u dont have to start over,(crtl + pg down lowers ur doddad) the use the # pad to move it and rotate it correctly ![]() |

Yes, indeed excellent job. You gave it the "deserted island, hidden fortress"-type look. I think it looks nice. Maybe give it a bit more of a desert look, and some more details around the fortress would be nice. Maybe even some prisoners? Excellent work though. |
