Hail. Somethings are disturbing me a bit. I need some help =) I dont know where to post most of thoose questions... so sorry if iam posting in wrong place 1 - Theres a way without using trigger editor, using import/edit/export methods, for exemple: add to brilhance aura another function like increase movement speed. 2 - The yobguls file converter works with Warcraft 3 FT ( v 1.15 ) ? If i use the WAR3.EXE that comes with the program, it gives a error ( 744 in dll bla bla bla ), if i use the original war3.exe, it gives another error. Plz how i can put it to work ? 3 - If file converter dont work with that version, i need know a way for: - Convert .MDX into .MDL - Open with 3D Studio Max 6 and edit - Convert it back to .MDL and MDX It anything like that, i only use 3D Studio Max 6, but if no other way... i can use milkshape. 4 - I can create a Trigger for hide only certain mesh of an object ? 5 - How i can create a explosion when a missile hit the target ? Only editing their animations ? 6 - I can scale or/and change color of missiles arts or spell arts like unitis ? Most of this is out of my knowledge, but here goes 1. Nope, there is no way to change the hard coded effects of abilities, the data fields the editor shows are the only things you can change without triggers. 2. I have no idea 3. Unless I am mistaken, the War 3 Art Tools should help you, they can be found on the blizzard web site 4. I've never used World Editor Unlimited, but unless there is a trigger for that in there, it is impossible 5. I'm really lazy right now, and I can't tell you how to do it simply, so someone else will have to answer that 6. You can set it so that the missle will have the scale of the unit launching it, but otherwise there is no clean way. 7. Not in my knowledge |

These are the forums you should be asking in: 2) Warcraft Editing Tools 3) Warcraft Editing Tools 4) Trigger Haven 5) Trigger Haven These are some answers: 1) As Quickshok said, you can't add unrelated effects to abilities. However, if you do use triggers, there are some things that you can implement in other ways to make it seem like the ability has additional effects. 3) YobGuls does work, and I use it, with the most recent patch, so you don't need to worry about finding another piece of software. 4) No, you can't hide just a mesh without editing the model. 7) Blizzard, in their divine wisdom, saw fit to use .mdx as the file format, but list the files as .mdl in the World Editor. However, it does work nonetheless. If you're having a problem finding the imported file, that's not the reason. The file may be corrupt, or your path may be incorrect in another way. |
