Kobold Hero(WIP)

This is my first skin, and I've been tinkering with it for quite a while. Due to the limitations of the mesh, it is somewhat blurry. However, I like the overall effect, though I'm still modifying the backpack, trying to get it to look like I want it.

I'm looking for any opinions, good and bad. Also, I'm still fiddling with alpha channels. They always give me grief.

3/5 i give it, because i dont like hes bag, and he maybe need a little more details. But still very good of first work! Keep doing that! :D

An update to the Kobold. Any ideas for little details to add to improve it and similar I will listen to.

Unique. I haven't seen many use the model. Although it is a hard model I recommend you try an easier model like demon hunter, beastmaster, arthas or blademaster. It looks kind of strange I can't really see the detail. Post the unwrap. The color scheme is pretty good.

You're right, the model is pretty hard to work with. Much of the detail is lost, although I do still love that portrait image. Anyway, I thought about it and might try moving the concept to one of the Tauren models, as they are similar in shape to a kobold.

Here's the map. It's a mix of techniques, including the hated recolor. I've never been good with muscles, so I didn't really have a choice. As you can see, a lot is lost in translation. But it does cover up some of my unfortunate bloopers towards the end. :(

[edit]: On second thought, a closer look at the model assures me that, unless I find a better kobold model, this will have to do.

It's a good start recolor isnt so bad if its tasteful. If you recolor make sure you change enough. If all you did was recolor then that sucks. Viewing the thread will help you a lot.
