I was just thinking of a race that hasn't been over done in the terrain challenges, and I thought of Naga. I challenge you to make a sprawling Naga city, Maybe under-water, maybe not. Rules: - No custom models. Custom anything else is allowed. - The entire thing doens't have to be walkable, but there should be some Naga in it. Rewards: Rep points! |

sigh,i know what it's liek to have no replies,so i did the terrain for you! hurrah! ,one slight problem is i'm a useless terrainer,so i'll just put my pcis up hope ur amused give me some rep and we're all pleased.Bascially i tried to make it pyramiddy, whilst the rear of it was starting to submerge into the water, but i won't show you that becaause i didn't do much detail :p.The second pic is of the small spawning pools i did.Hope you like it. |

Thanks for participating, but your images are corrupt, I tried to convert them to JPG for you, but when I opened Photoshop to look at them, it said something was wrong with the file. Try retaking the screens, and converting them to JPG yourself, you can with any image editing program. Now, I think, I'm going to do a terrain for this myself... |

Ah, quit moaning. :P And sort out those bloody edges on your pics, just select the good bits and then use Crop to drop the rest. Hm..... underwater.... sounds fun, must try it.... will post tomorrow.... |

Hey, don't get all bent out of shape, I'm not trying to out do you, and I did give you rep. Anyway, here's my own crappy attempt. |

| 07-11-2004, 09:25 PM | #8 |
Thanks, the walls are made of several pillars that I made by making a custom prop doodad, using the Temple of the Tides model, and scaling up the Z-axis. I'm working on three projects( check my sig) but I don't think there's a position for you... sorry. |

Yes. :> These aren't too good; i had this in a (very) steep trench, but you can't see that from the screenies, mainly because WE wouldn't let me: a) zoom out, or b) zoom right in to take shots looking up. Oh, the perils of having terrain at extreme height and depth..... Anyway, I tried to make this look underwater: I originally had Rays of Moonlight across the whole thing, but it looked bad, and made it hard to see anything. Hope you all like the effect. |

really nice def,i think you 2 shoudl combine your works, they both are very good in different aspects :D,i,however shall return to the noobly drawing board. |

THat looks cool defiant (rep given) but isn't it a little flat for an Underwater City? Just my thoughts *shrugs* |
| 07-13-2004, 06:23 PM | #15 |
It's not actually that flat... it's just that you can't see much due to the fog and the cursed WE camera height limits. The edges are very steep... I had the actual city bit flat because it made sense in terms of Naga construction to do so.... but nevermind. |
