Well, I just wanted to show you these 3 shots of a scene I'd like to call... Pit of Fools. This won me a small contest at the Mapper's Guild (www.tmg.gaming.com) and I'm posting it here to see what you think... :p "The Pit of Fools" An unsuspecting caravan of merchants decided to set up a small village right below a Defias Camp. "I wonder what that big fortress is up there..." - Local Merchant "Those rocks seem to be getting closer and closer to our village! I wonder why..?" - Gohar, Resident |

Now thats good! The use of doodads on the cliffs and the fog/sky makes such a great overall scene. Rep point given |

Wow, just...wow! The fog really gives the realism and it seems all doodads are randomly placed though :D . Keep up the good work! Rep point given! ^_^ |

It's very... untidy. The doodads seem randomly placed there are some floating rocks. Great use of varying elevations though. |

hmm, looks pretty decent :D I don't extremely like it, but thats just because of the tileset. It's kinda the same as me hating rap but loving eminem. he's the best in it, though i hate it. i think you did best in this, though i hate the genre. for short: good job. (repped) Mozared |

Thanks guys. You don't like the tileset Moz? Its a mixed tileset with Sunken Ruins as its base. I replace most of the textures with Ashenvales' grass and dirt. I'll show more detailed shots later on the Goldmine area. |

Shadowkiller - check out this screen (Hopefully you can make out the words). I recently learned that it is quite possible to replace textures of existing destructibles like the trees I used (Ashenvale) and replace them with say... Lordaeron's. Funny how I only found out its use now. Try experimenting with Sunken Ruins trees and other destructables! Its really cool. |

Here are some new screens as promised. These show the exquisite detail of the Goldmine area I made... and this is without custom doodads... :\ The last screenie shows the Bandits planning the fate of the little village below. Pitiful... I mean... Pit of fools! |

What i meant with not liking the tileset is just... it's too plain for me. no matter what special stuff you do with it, it doesn't get really special. i don't know what that is. It's nice in it's kind though. Mozared |

Well, I used whatever was best... Maybe you don't really like the texture of the shot. Too orangey..? What is special terrain anyway..? |
