More Wc3c Wc3S

Just felt the need to comment on some of the issues discussed in the previous thread started by Mock1.

I'm quite insulted that you consider people who support Mock1 to be 'flamers'. For one thing... if you think Mock1 is a flamer... you're out of your mind. Making biased comments about a group of people is not going to get any pleasant results.

Another thing, when is tha_chump going to be unbanned? He was a nice guy, and he was doing good for the community. All his hard work on his Minas Tirith city models, and wall models is very helpful to me, and I'm sure it is helpful for many other people as well.

Oh and btw, it was ME who posted that thread a few months ago about the Warehouse being reopened. I figured since it was an affiliate site, and a good place for people to download quality skins, icons, and models, that I would post about it in the news to inform people about its reopening, and to tell new people about it. If a post on the main page stating that a good resource download site that is hosted by a dedicated user here has just been reopened is something wrong then I guess maybe I just shouldn't ever try to help people eh?

I'm just about ready to leave and go to Samods. Not because Warcraft III Warehouse being advertised "made me like that site better and go there". But because I'm sick of dealing with people getting all bent out of shape over helping out community. And by helping out the community, to some extent I mean giving them links to a few good download sites, wc3sear.ch isn't everything. Its a good site and Darky28 has done alot of hard work to make some very cool scripts and stuff. But being a nazi against any other sites with downloads is simply archaic. (That comment isn't directed at anyone in particular)

Banning people like tha_chump and Mock1 is way out of the question (I know Mock1 is back now, but banning him in the first place was premature and unneeded). Banning should be reserved for flamers and lamers, not good people who contribute to the community.

Heh, If you haven't noticed by now, the administration is not very professional. The same way they filtered out that other wc3 modding site because of some controversy. Not to mention the fact that they delete posts that are valid just because it points the childlike behavior. You shouldnt need to ask anyone before posting a valid question. Hell, they won't even take down that stupid external corruption banner on protected files. Nothing's going to change, so If thats what your waiting for, you might as well go. Take your great and fan-filled project to a place that has a little more sense.

And tha_chump has done some truly fantastic work for the community, its a shame that people like him are being banned.

And i've seen some of the site names (like mod forge) are automatically filtered when linked to... c'mon guys grow up!

Darky: I was actually thinking of being a mod at your forums. I dout you would let me. I was thinking about it again but then i was banned from search also. So I'll apply right here. I want to moderate all the forum and I will search for stolen work and delete it.
I haven't really flamed a lot at search. Maybe in one or two threads but nothing compared to the entire download section.

Searching your site everyday isnt my true responsiblity. I will make it though if you make me a mod their who removes stolen work I will do better then any other because I can reconize a lot of work.
If you make me mod I will delete the wrong named files etc etc. I will not delete skins for quality since you want everyone to have chance. I respect that. You say I do nothing of the community so Ill become a wc3search mod is that ok then? Will you unban me and make me the mod? If you make me a mod I will check everyday to see if any new files have been added.

In truth wc3s's dl section isnt wc3c's anymore. They haven grown too far apart. But it is supose to be wc3c's dl space. So if it's ours why cant we have changes. It is ours not thiers correct?

You still claim I was warned several times by admins. That was the one pm I have got that was my only warning. You still havent admited the real reason you banned the chump or me for "advertising in my sig". Calling people who supported me flamers is wrong because a lot of them were respected mods.You said you only saw "4 max" there was more then four. They didnt pm you to complain because they were AFRAID TO GET BANNED. Instead find me the people who support my ban. I dont care if u spam rep like u did to egg and jester.

Another thing as an affiliate why would i need have to add my work to your site. I was thinking about it but I said forget it.

Actually Mock1, your site is good enough to do not need to take advantage of that thread to advertise, that was your mistake though I don't think that deserved a ban at all that was their mistake, the guy to ban was another user.

Edit: In the other thread I must have done some really strong points, the only reason a moron could find to give me a bad rep was ortography, see my profile to see how that guy lost his time, Don't care cause I actually don't know english at all.

No more banning over advertisements, instead, lets revert to the middle-ages way and cut their head off. Or murder their family, that seems just, right? A slap on the wrist will do for inappropriate advertisement, a banning seems... abusive of power.

I suggest, to avoid possible legal troubles for WC3 Search, this model be removed and the submitter be notified of the violation. Also, all future models being stolen from the World of Warcraft Beta should be deleted as soon as they are posted.

Darky from what I see your sitting on top of a throne that's gona crumble before you. WC3S weather you want to admit it or not is not the best download place, I saw warehouse once and its 100 times better. Just because wc3s site is yours does not mean its any good. Get off it dude, its like the thousands of people who think a color change of a skin makes them 1337 hackers. Face it The Downloads section was better without your site. I remember the poll; I remember voting its ok. Host a new poll, here are the parameters:

Now have that poll, after a week or a month or however long, check the numbers if its a great its +2 if its good its +1 if its average its 0 if its bad its -1 if it sucks its -2. Add that all up and check the numbers.

If it's a positive number those of us who wish to see something else for downloads will shut up. Keep a list of our names. If someone not on the list and over 50 posts or 2 years of seniority posts another thread concerning the ‘suckyness' of WC3S then you hold the poll again, and so on.

If it's a negative number another poll will be held for those wishing to change it:

From that you simply take which ever answer has the highest % and implement that; Perhaps providing a suggestion thread so the populace can select the site.

There's one downside to this, you as a mod would have to give up all of your powers as a mod (unless you do not have the powers to do that) here until the poll is closed to ensure you cannot alter any numbers etc.

Now, while the original poll may have proved successful for WC3S, there's a reason democratic governments hold elections every so often. A person's mind changes a lot over time. From these threads it's obvious that a great deal of people have changed their minds.

yeah i agree. But i have to say wcwarehouse is not better. It just dosent have assholes.

I reported that rip on the b.net forums a few days ago. But all I got was a bunch of abusive lamer comments, and insults.
Then my thread was deleted. :\
I just decided to ignore it from that point on. Maybe Blizzard will eventually find it, or start seeing it in newbie maps and begin asking around as to where it came from.

And since its the SAME site. We will have NO community
