First off, this is a temporary name, until someone(or me) can think of something better that fits the map.

But anyways, for those of you who know about the map (those very few I told about it) it's almost done. Started this back in January. Jan 4th 2004 to be exact.

I don't have time to give out too much information on it right now, I work 5pm till 3am, when I get home I will start working on a site for it. Giving all the specs and information needed. But for now I will give you this much:

Note that everything will have its imbalances as I havent tested everything yet, but I will do a very private beta before the release of the single player beta soon.

Total Towers: 26
Total Levels: 30
Total Level Creeps: 60
Total Bonus Rounds: 3
Total Boss Rounds: 1
Total Summonable (Battle Mode, team play only) Units: 62
Total ACTUAL Towers (replacements, upgrades etc): 48
Total Unique Upgrades: 13
Total Items: 45

The things I can guarantee for the beta are 30 working levels, 3 different single player modes, fully functional towers and some script goodies. Along with the basic tips which display every X seconds.

Things that wont be done for the beta are a functional multiboard, 50 levels and total balance.

What makes this TD unique from the unstoppable amount of TD's out there?
*As most TD are, there ends up being 1 uber strategy that you can use every time to beat the game. This leaves that entirely open
*Micromanagement - Not essential, meaning if you just like TD's to build stuff and win, you dont need to use it. But for those of you attempting to find that uber strategy there is an enormous list of things you can do.
*Team based battle - As seen in a couple of those TD's where your team can spawn units for the other team to go through the path with, except properly done.
*3 single player modes, and 7 multiplayer modes (5 team based, 2 FFA style)
*Unique trigger abilities, and some trigger enhanced abilities. (Mainly the Elemental towers)

I'm sure there is lots more, if you have any questions regarding it, or want to throw in a suggestion before the beta, please do.

ETA for the public beta 1-2 weeks

Wow. Sounds like you've been working hard. I love people that look at all the other different map types out there, take everything that was cool about the maps they've seen, and added everything they thingk should be in the game (like all of your extra options and the non-single-uber-strategy thing. That rocks!) So far from what you've posted, the map looks like it's going to help revolutionize TD's. I'm sick of seeing the same thing over and over again on a different landscape. If there's still spots open for beta testing, I'd like to be one!

Dont worry a beta will go public.

Sorry I never did get around do doing that webpage, but I fried my motherboard somehow, just replaced it and put in a p4 chip. Seems to be better, no change on the beta, but no webpage yet.

Something new I'm doing (think it was inspires from DoCa-Cola, not sure) is my pathing system. I had a pathing system work without any triggers at all, units would follow what they should and what not. Except the 1 order I had to give them leaked memory (dont ask how). So what I'm going to do is have 1 trigger for EVERY player that controls when a unit goes into a region, which region is should go to, for which area.

Pretty sure it will improve things alot.

The MAIN thing I'm shooting for with this TD is replayability. I know hardly anyone knows about this map (maybe 2 of you) but I'm sure even those skeptical about TD's would like this one. We'll have to see.

One thing I should mention now, is that me and a couple friend have been testing it, with a couple glitches fixed here and there and a few improvements and balances I think I'm gonna go ahead and add in some more levels, I want 45 for the public beta (expected 60-75 for final) This shouldnt change the release time much, as apparently I have tomorrow off work, I'm gonna hardcore geek it up and work my ass off and hopefully get the 45 needed done tomorrow. Then finish up the unique towers and stuff, all should be good to go in.... 10 days

EDIT: the 10 days is the extreme, should be less than that
