Loading textures for imported MDX (MAX)

Hello to all,

I'm attempting to edit the animations of the footman.mdx. I've extracted the footman.mdx, the .blp files for the footman into .tga format, and I'm using the MDX Importer.mse by Fadi to get the model into 3DS Max 5. So far so good. I can run the individual animations and everything looks okay.

However, how do I get the textures to show up in the viewport? I've selected the perspective viewport and then gone into the material editor and clicked on the 'Show Map in Viewport'...Nothing. Plus, it doesn't appear the the textures loaded when the model imported.

Can someone please explain to me (in little words :> ) how I go about getting the textures to show up in Max? I've seen screenshots in the tutorials so I know it can be done, but I feel like I'm missing something really obvious here...

Thanks,

FodderMan

Ah, yes, this is some sort of bug with the importer but can be easily fixed.
First add a uvw modifier, and just hit the edit button without any polies selected, and youll see the uvw points meshed into one big square, but as you can see it isnt in the "texture box"
so carefully move all the points so they fit snugly into the proper material box.

As the picture shows below, move the points so they align in the outlined red box.
