Anyone know what the priority field does in the Units section of the Object Editor? |

I think its the prority in which enemy units will attack. eg A grunt and a raider enter a units LOS at same time, one has the higher prority will be attacked first. |

It also is a bit randomised when you go into large battles. |

So if I set a towers priority to 1 then that should take priority over units? By looking in the world editor right now - A tower guard tower has a priority of two and a unit footmen has a priority of 6. So the guard tower takes priority over the unit or vice versa. |

It has nothing to do with how the AI decides to attack. It controls the order that the unit appears in the unit list (at the bottom middle of your interface). The lower the number, the close to the front (top left). You will notice that heroes typically have a lower priority than regular units. This makes them appear first when selected as part of a group. |

Well thanks for clearing that up. Anyway to make a unit have priority over another in attack order? |

The AI picks targets by first checking if the target unit has an attack, that way units without attacks and workers are ignored. After that, it mostly just checks for distance, if two units are the same distance then I think it decides based on damage/armour types. I could be wrong though, the AI/JASS people would know better. |
