Ah you cant create models with the mdx plugin you must have arttools for 3dsmax but it only works for 3dsmax4.2 tm 5.1 something so you gotta have a other 3dsmax.............

You usualy dont export models with a script, you just get art tools and go to file: export and select MDX/MDL

no that error is because you must add a note track under the dope sheet or track view.

Art tools can't be used with Max 6 because it has a new core.

However if models is all you want to make, maybe this can help... I posted this in another thread.

So I don't think blizzard will go through the trouble to specifically make Art Tools for Max6 JUST for the users.

Besides I have both Max 5 and Max 6 and I find nothing which makes it easier for me to model or animate for that matter for WC3 in Max 6...

So for those of you stuck with MAX 6, tough luck... but if you want to model, there is a way around the problem.

After making the model in max 6, export the model as *.3ds file... now send it to someone with max 5 or 4 and they will be able to import it and work on it for animation, unwrapping, etc etc... so you can help out with max 6 as well ;).

Do't try just saving the file (as .max) in max 6 and try opening it in max 5 or below... it won't work, use the export method.

Hope this helps.
