Yes,it is possible, double click the sound/music you have inported in the sound editor, and set the "Volume" number to higher. Thats all!

It is like this: A sound file has an amplitude, that get's into the hard mathematics so I'll stop there. What your doing in WC3 is making WC3 play it at a higher amplification. What your doing with a program like Cool Edit is your editing the actual sound file to have a higher amplication.

127 is a number that is great for programmers to use. If you look at a standard MIDI bank you'll also notice that is has 127 instruments. 127 is just easy. Besides there is a reason it is that high, and higher and your sure your going to over amplificate it. Wich means it will crackle and you won't have a clean sound file.

So you need an editing program, there are some freeware ones out there, though I do not know wich. In the music tutorial thread in this forum is some explanation and links to some paid ones (wich have free trails).

Also I think your more aiming for a trick in soundforge called "graphic dynamic processing" it brings out your sound file better. Basically it just sounds better, you should look into that. I don't know how to explain this part better.

PS: Will people please stop begging for reputation in this forum!?
