Guest | Okay I have a few questions about properly implimenting armor upgrades. I am doing a remake of Marine Ranchers and as most of you already know this is a madness map that puts eight players against each other for total domination. My map has several different unit types which span all four races. I would like to know how to impliment an armor upgrade and a weapons upgrade. I want the main building (in this case a castle) to have one icon for armor and one for weapons and each icon to be an ALL UNITS EFFECTED upgrade. Here are my questions: 1) Will assigning the same specific type of armor upgrade and weapon upgrade to each unit actually upgrade each unit accordingly? Example: Black Powder is the weapon upgrade for each unit. 2) If I did use Blackpowder as the weapon upgrade would it sipmly add a couple points to each units attack damage value or would it only affect those units with guns? 3) Once implimented how do I see if the upgrade has actually worked once researched? Will the units have a + 2, for example, next to their attack or armor point value? 4) How would I actually create the triggers needed to make this happen? If I click on the armor/weapon icon and doing so starts the research, do I even need any triggers or anything else to make this work? |

Yes, be sure that every unit that would benefit this upgrade has this in their fields. Quote:
affect those who have this upgrade Quote:
no, you have to check if they raised or not, because they are taken fact immediately after research is done. its like having 11-13 dsamage first then after upgrade its 14-20 Quote:
no, just let uprade do his work. If its completed, all the units benefitting the upgrade gets boost in either attack or armor |

Guest | Outstanding! I got it to work. Thank you very very much. I have another question. What file do I need to edit the requirements for each upgrade? Example: gold cost, lumber cost, buildings required to have upgrade. I know I can edit a file and then import it into the map. My second question is. How do I import that file into the map? Thanks again! |
