Hi, I'm trying to turn a normal skill into a default unit skill. For simplicity's sake, let's say the skill that I want to work on is Divine Shield. So my question is, how do I make Divine Sheild a default unit skill, instead of a hero skill? Default unit skill, meaning skills like True Sight, Hide, Spell Immunity, and so on. In other words, these skills come with the hero the moment he is spawned, and are always active. So in short, how do I make a unit have an activated Divine Sheild that lasts forever the moment it is spawned? I'm leaning more towards making changes to the spell in the object editor, rather than something grand like using triggers to create a duplicate copy of my hero and then ordering it to cast Divine Sheild. |

You mean passive abilities? Well, normaly, you can't just convert abilities from active (ones that are cast and require mana) to pasive (ones that are on forever). However, there is a divine-shield-like passive ability, it's called "invulnerable (neutral)". But you probably don't want an invulnerable hero, but are trying to make some skill other than divine shield into a passive; well, other skills may not have their passive counterparts; tell us what kind of skill you wish to have and we'll se what we can think of to do together. |

Every ability has a "Hero skill" field. Set this to false and it becomes a normal unit spell. After that all you need to do is add the skill to your desired unit and order that unit to cast "Human - Paladin - Divine Shield". Of coruse you'll want to edit the duration of the spell too (and maybe mana cost). |

or click item for it to be default.. thats what i did for a few of mine |
