I dont exactely know what makes a map laggy so plz tell me and tell all other user what you are sure about lag ( espicially on b.net) -Does custom skin/icon/model do lag or simply increase the map size whitout lag? -did 2400 doodad do lag? -does many many many custom spell/item/units do lag? -Wheater do lag? (I personally think that the answer is yes ^_^ ) Thank for your futur answer. |

Not exactly. For ex. if you import 5000 custom models but never show them your map will be huge but you wont have any lag. Doodads I believe slow down the start of the game, as well as custom units. From my experiance, the game will lag with LOTS of units (and I do mean LOTS) and memory leaks. There is an excellent tutorial written by Cubasis on memory leaks, so you might want to check that out. |

None of them really do anything to in-game performance, but it does take a looong time to load all that crap. |
