From The Desk of Voidless Realms Productionsâ„¢ Comes A Concept For... The Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game... For Warcraft III - Frozen Throne... Hello Everyone, This is The Notorious Void Renegade. If you don't know who the hell I am, that is fine, since I am Void. :8 But nevertheless, here at Voidless Realsm Productionsâ„¢ have made a new concept for a MMORPG playable on Battle.net. Now I know you must be saying, An MMORPG playable on BNet!?!? How!? Well... Since the maximum ammount of players one game can surport is 12, technically that is more of a MORPG <Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game>. But! If you think about it... OPEN RPGs on Battle.net that have 'Save Codes', which, allow a user to load a saved character into the game. This here makes it accessible to play with a massive amount of users. IE: MMORPG Maps. Examples: Legend: TCOZ, Dark Lineage Owen 3.0, FFORPG, etc... Well.. That Takes Care of The 'MMORPG' explination part. Now for explainning the concept. Currently... I do not have an offical name of the MMORPG, but I will use 'Fallen Empires' for the sake of having a presentable name to use. FALLEN EMPIRES - MMORPG
<Note: I would personally like to thank ALL the great RPGs which have been made, and their creators. Their ideas have sparked inspiration for a new type of RPG.> Expected Features: <Note: This is Just a Rough Overview> - Ability to Save/Load character on one of several maps. - Several Multiplayer Maps <Reducing possible repetativeness> - Different grades of items. <IE: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Magical, Set, etc...> - Equipment Menu ( Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, Boots, Belt, Left Hand, Right Hand, Pendant, Ring, Cloak ) - Several Attributes: Str, Dex, Con, Vit, Int, Wis. - Job System: Hunter, Blacksmith, Theif, etc... - Race System: Human, Elf, Orc, etc... - Gender System: Male, Female - Drug System: Alcohol, Marijuana, Steriods, etc... - Class/Race Specific Equipment. - Solo/Party System <Party = Shared Exp. Solo = Non-Shared Exp> - Mode Settings: Normal / Nightmare / Hell - Exp Allocation: Recieve full exp for killing a monster your level, less for a monster higher or lower than your current level. <Reducing 'Rushing' a character> - Food System / Thirst System: Requirements for eating and drinking to survive. - Item Requirements: IE: Level/Attribute requirements. - Saving a character saves: inventory, equipment and bag items. IE: maximum 22 saved items. - Saving a character saves: full amount of gold and exp. - In case of death, loss of gold penalty. Possibly 25%-50% - Map specific items <Certain items ONLY found on certain maps, yet can be loaded in any map> - When making a new character, choice of 'Starting Package' or 'Gold'. - Death Expenses: Normal: 25% Gold Deduction. Nightmare: 25% Gold Deduction & 10-25% Exp Deduction. Hell: 50% Gold Deduction & 25% Exp Deduction. - Items such as Helm/Armor/Weapon/Shield/Cloak changes appearence. - New Models, New Skins, New Icons, New Items. - Many More Features! <Heh, when I can remember other features to add. ^_^ > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Send Feedback on The MMORPG Concept. Thank You For Reading. Hopefully if this concept is liked, I might beable to get a team together to make the MMORPG avalible on Battle.net in 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Void Renegade Voidless Realms Productionsâ„¢ |

This concept isn't so new, it's just there isn't a lot of good completed maps of this type. Secondly, you're going to have an asslong password to save that kind of stuff. Good luck though, this genre certainly has a lot of potential. |

Well Look At Dark Lineage, That Requires a Long Ass Password, heh, Yeah, But Also, A Lot of Completed Maps Get Boring, And Are Either Too Easy or Take Forever And Are Boring To Level After A While. |

You DO know how hard this is to make, right? I'm not saying it is impossible to make, no, surely not, but I am saying that it is near impossible. I cannot recall any succesful attempt of "- Items such as Helm/Armor/Weapon/Shield/Cloak changes appearence" so, you might want to check up on that because I might be wrong. A time ago, I was somewhat inactive, so it could be they found out a way back then. It was said, such things already exist and stuff, but if I look right, you got more weight on your shoulders then any other (with the explanation you gave) Anyway, is this your first project? It certainly could be seeing your post rate (I'm not saying you're a noob by your post rate, everyone has to start somewhere ;), but it usually shows how long someone is on the forum and what they've learned here :)) Anyway, if it IS your first project, then take my kind advice and forget about it. Usually when someone starts their own project they pick a WAAAAAY too big/hard one and always stop after a while. I cannot recall any project which was started as 'First Project' that was finished... or said in an other way, ever continued. Some still are working on their "first project" but that's about 1% of the entire forum. (If not 1% then surely 1 person. Because that's a fact. You see, that person is myself :P And for how long am I on this forum? :P) Anyway, did I just fell very badly off-topic? I guess I did, my humble apologies for that. Anyway, back to on-topic again then (why does that sound weird? :\)... If this project ever finishes, I'll be sure to come to the place where you live and kiss your feet an... hmm... maybe not. Anyway, the idea certainly sounds good and right, and very exciting not to forget that. Though with so many features it is hard to create and also pretty hard playable for those with not the fastest computer ever. People such as myself. Anyway, if you are still planning of making it, you might need people helping you with work, instead of just feedback ;) Give a sign what you need to the people here. Good luck anyway. Thanks for your time -Fladian PS. A little request of me... Could you try to use as little as that 'Dark Red' and 'Dark Blue' color as possible? Its very hard to read. I know you only used it for... *starts counting* I know you only used it for 15 words/signs, but rather the less then more :D |

Your idea is great, but think Juliens RPG ok, that one is great and everything is good bout it, but it takes forever to load if u dont have anything higher then 800mhz and 256mb of ram, and that RPG doesnt even have half of the cool stuff you posted here. Im not trying to ruin your dreams, but Im being logical, some of the greatest RPGs ever have failed being played on B.net cause of lag, cause it had to much stuff in it, just think about it. |

You'll need lots 'o JASSers to finish this project, and manny skins, because you mentioned changes in the character's looks. You'll also need someone that can really modify WC3, so each time you want to go to another map you'll be able to do that, without creating another game or anything like that. Personally, I don't think WC3 can be modified to an MMORPG game, although I see some projects trying to make that. I'd like to help, but I'm currently busy with other projects, so GL in making the project and I hope you succeed =). |

Heh, I Think You All Suck, So You All Can Go To Hell. Being Bash-tards. So Whatever. Project Terminated Before Started. |

We are not being like that Void. We are just stating the obvious. I always saw it (sort of) as my job to see heed people from making projects that never finish because so many people did it. As I recall I am the only one who is stuborn and stupid enough to keep going :P Anyway, I suggest instead of reacting like this, give it a good think before you do anything else. |

U know what, if void wants to be a bitch, fine with me man... its sad how you quit after 2 days... thats definatly good for the people who were actually commited to this project... hopfully they did get there hopes up... verdict: Void is a BOOO-tard |

Jason-Lavoie, I don't think anyone would get there hopes up who mods longer then a certain amount of time. I think everyone knows... no, I'm wrong, not everyone knows. I think ALMOST everyone knows that placing so many features in a B.net map will be near/completely impossible. Anyway, Void, I've been at this forum for some time by now. I know about everyone here, so I do not appreciate you saying "I think they all suck". Mind your words from now on... |

If you give up because a bunch of people online think you can't do it then it's a good thing we told you you can't do it. |

all we were doing was giving u constructive criticism, thats all, just keep in mind the other great and unplayable maps of the past, and try to narrow it down a little |

He has a point, i myself found a REALLY great map but i was unable to play it online since it compiled too many triggers i found that in order for other players to play the map they had to have a pentium 4 and dsl AT LEAST and even then they would lag occasionally, i will post this map here if u wana see the immense file. this map is good yes, but no one can play it b/c of the lag... :( and it is intended for multiplayer, the only way u could play it is if u're rich have like 10 pentium 4's a bunch of friends over and then lan party or something but that's ridiculous if u ask me, the map itself is very nice i managed to play it w/1 other person but he left the game halfway through b/c he was busy... |

Murderman, I think they stopped working on it already. If had a... fight with Void recently so I wasn't really planning of saying anything here, but what dead is dead, leave it dead. Please. Thank you -Fladian |
