Giving a unit chaos damage

How do I make a spell that changes my hero's attack type from Hero to Chaos?

Im almost positive there is no way. You should instead base it off something like metamorphasis and then have a dummy hero with a chaos attack, and then transfer all items and experiance and skills to him. Shouldnt be too hard.

I can't go the metamorphosis route.

Does anyone else has any other suggestion?

Bear Form and Storm Crow form are other abilities that can do that task.
Otherwise the dummy hero suggestion would work.

And ethereal form, dont forget that one.


Other than that, though, there is no (trigger based) way. At least, that is all that I can think of.

I see, so other than basing the spell on a shape-shifting spell that would grant my hero chaos damage in its alternate form, there's no trigger way of doing it?

trigger base way is Replace and transfer experience over.. i tried it but it was very messy..

as another way metaph.. or a trigger to add the skill Chaos

Umm, you don't have to transform the unit. Make the hero have a hero type attack 1 and a chaos type attack 2. Make "enabled attacks" read "none". Give the hero a modified orb of lightning (new) ability that enables his attack one.

When you want to give him chaos damage, remove that orb ability and give the hero another orb abilty that enables attack 2.

I also belive there is an upgrade option that allows you to change a Heroes attack, if this is permenate. If not, I would suggest you either go Th15's way, or if you prefer to use pure triggers and as little orb-editing as possible. just amke two different Heroes, one with chaos damage and one without and then set all the ability levels, items, level, XP, stats, and such to variables and then replace the hero/ Following, you will need to add all the items and such back. However, Th15's way is the best if the change isn't permenate, if it is, the upgrae will work quite well. I hope this helps you!
