Guest | I want to modify the gold/lumber requirements for specific upgrades along with removing the building required for the player to have to be able to use an upgrade. Here are my questions: 1) What SLK file do I edit and where do I find it? 2) Do I need to import the file into the map? If not will the modifications effect all of my maps from now on? 3) If I need to extract the slk file from an mpq, where is it located in the mpq? Thanks =) |

Easy 1) Upgradedata.slk in units\ folder (get war3patch.mpq version) 2) yes you must import it in your map, same basics for the rest of the slk files except unitmetadata.slk (which doesnt work at all with import) 3) see 1) 4) read the comments of authors who compiled the slk please, they explain a lot what to do =) 5) requirements for upgrades is done in the string and func for upgrades, so basicallly same story with spells. |

Guest | How do you import the file? *Edit* I've checked the SLK IMP tutorial you created in the tutorials section but I cannot figure out to what program you are refering to that black dick created? Unless your talking about your world editor using his trick and I've missed something all together. I'm lost :bgrun: |

Guest | I recommend using Winmpq now (if you can run it, great!). its like explorere which you just drag and drop, and you can see wether the files imported are in the right directory or not. Makes editing alot easier =) |
