Hey, can somebody help me with this? I've nearly finished the first map of my Stealth Mod: Stealth Shaman, problem is, now that the terrain's finished, whenever I try to open the map in World Editor any more, I just get some screwy message saying '- Main map info missing or invalid'. I've experienced this before, and still haven't worked out a way to get past it, I've tried opening it in UMSWE 4.0 as well, and I get the same thing, can anyone help me get around this? -Jase |

did you import any stuff in the import manager? |

Yeah, but only 'ChaosShaman.MDX', 'ChaosShaman_Portrait.MDX' and 'StealthShaman.blp'. I imported these because I wanted the regular shaman in the map as well as the Stealth Shaman. |

I recommend you open the map up in WinMPQ and remove your .BLPs and .MDXs. If then doesn't work, send me your map and I'll see if I can salvage it. |

Well, the .blp and .mdx files are essential to the map, otherwise it just won't make sense, and besides, I can't open it up in WinMPQ because it's a .w3x file, and according to WinMPQ it doesn't have an MPQ File in it. |

WinMPQ was built for RoC, it can open w3x files, it just doesn't think it can. Click 'Open', change '*.mpq, .w3m, ...' to 'All files', then select your map and click 'Open'. |

Well, I tried that already and it always says: 'This file does not contain an MPQ file.' |

Then it sounds like the header of the mpq archive is damaged (and perhaps much of the rest of it). If I understod what you said. Maybe you have a recent working version of the map as Maps\Test\WorldEditTestMap.w3x. That's the file that is created if you do "Test Map" without saving it first. |

Jase, ALL wc3 map files are MPQs. They're just given another extension. That's why jeltz has come to the conclusion he has come to and why I'd agree with him. You probably imported something and gave it the wrong path causing it to overwrite some map-essential info. |
