have some problems with making units

hi i downloaded 2days ago the programs from oinkerwinkel

i have imported the satyr model and chanche it into an mdl file
so i can use it for the vertrexmodefiy.
if i import it i see only whit so i zome out and i see mass of lines and things i cant regonze the model all lines really weird.

so i go tot the tutorial from oink on this site http://www.geocities.com/oinkertools...kwreckage.html

so i imported an steam tank and i do things that you must do if i import it into the
vertrexmodefiy i see some familar things from the steam tank but i see many more lines that on the creeenshot that are not from the steamtank!!

what must i do??

i used an , instead of an . now i can use my fantasy and start making models
