This post is a creative story thread. The point of it, is one person writes a begining of a plot, another person continues it, and another, and another and so on....
Keep in the general flow that the story is going in. If you can't make a good addition, don't post anything to the story. Use ** ** for parts that are in the story, and don't use anything of just making a comment. First my blurb....

There are two elements in all people. The people with ideas, and the doers. An idea person, can come up with stories, plots, ideas, philosphies. Doers are the ones who actually put it on paper, or actually create the idea. Most people have a mix, but tend to be closer to one or the other. Unfortunately it seems that very few map makers that finish maps have to much with the story part of ideas. Take RoK, it was a interesting map, with some really cool features, at least for being the first (and only one right now) campaign with new spells, and skins and such. It is obviously made by programmers, not story tellers. The units are placed in places that make no sense to be, the story is weak and contrived, and it's just not that interesting. People get a really good idea for triggers, and mods, that they forget that story is the ultimate thing that makes a game good (of course it also needs good grammar, and must read good, to not annoy the hell out of those playing). Then again, on the other hand, there is those with brilliant stories, great plots, and ambitious ideas, which they will never complete and give up. So what you really need is an Idea person and at least one doer person. So this is for those Idea people, who will probably never get there story and ideas into the maps they are making alone...

Alright, on to the story thread. You cannot respond to your own post. You may edit it if you see some blaring errors, but not added more unless its filler detail. So for the story to go on you need at least a few people posting. Don't have too much as you want it to become more interesting as people add on, but try to get at least to some point. Don't add stupid posts which don't fit story at all and are just there too annoy people.

** The sun dawned on Yorricks head. His mother yelled at him, so he hurried out. After having his breakfast he went out to work in the fields. Yorrick in his mind counted how long till he would be done farming for the day and could be with his friends. After 3 hours of grueling work, farming, he was supprised by a messenger running up to him, to announce a message. The messagenger told him that he was immediately required to visit the mayor.
Yorrick glad to leave the farm, happily agreed and travelled with the messenger to the Mayors house. The Mayor told him that a message left by Yorricks father, before he left that is, that in this day. Yorrick was to travel to the local cave to as it stated "reclaim his birthright" Yorrick, seeing as it was better then the farm, set off immediately for the cave....**

**...Upon entering the cave, Yorrick was siezed upon by a rock golem, who then knocked him unconsious on the floor.
When Yorrick woke up, we could hear fire in the distance, coming from the direction of his hometown. The sky was painted orange with the reflection of the flame. Yorrick decided it was a bonfire in celebration of some one's birthday, so he decided he would continue through the cave.
Upon getting up, Yorrick's head stabbed him with a sudden pain, and he then remembered that something had knocked him out, but where was the creature now? Yorrick then decided it was too unsafe to go into the cave any further without proper protection, so he turned and began to head to the entrance of the cave.
when he had reached it, the golem appeared again, and Yorrick ran further into the cave to escape the golem which was chasing him.
When Yorrick had entered a large room within the cave, he then realized that the golem had stopped following him. He then began to look around for and alternet way to escape the cave.

Meanwhile...

"Master, why should a mere boy trouble us like this?"
"You idiot! That is not a mere boy! Don't you see that? He has potential that you cannot begin to imagine! He cannot be alloud to ruin my plans!"
"Terribly sorry master, I didn't mean to anger you. How should stop the boy?"
"Haven't you been paying attention at all? He's in a cave. I've blocked every exit by summoning a golem there. There is no way he can escape."
"Ooo! Brilliant master! But what if some one were to defeat one of your golems and save him...?"
"That has already been taken care of..."...**

**...Ingariath crept through the trees, making sure he could not be traced. Being a thief both at heart and trade, he was very good at what he did. "Fools, sending me out to hunt down these marauders by myself!? They want me to die, so that they won't have any chance of me threatening their power. The council is weak, but the people think they're strong..."

Suddenly he noticed a cavern which he had never come to pass by before. Ingariath was curious, sometimes too curious. This was one of those times. he couldn't resist the urge to go search through the cave. The golem didnt notice the stealthy elf creeping up on him until it was too late.

Poisened daggers, an expert at precision backstabbing, the golem stood no chance. He twisted around and caught a glimpse of Ingariath before he fell to his knees, dead. Ingariath was even more interested at what was in here now that he saw it was guarded. Turning the corner, he bumped into a child...**
