Hey, I use GIMP. What exactly seems to be the problem, and, just out of curiosity, do you have the new 2.0 version? Or the older version? (1.something) I'm not the GIMP master or anything, but I use it for all my graphics needs. I'll help you if I can 8). |

I did move to photo shop, but it will be done with its "trail version" in like 20 days. The problem is that when i ezxtract the 2 d images, and try to load them on gimp (by the way i have version 2.4.3) but it wont load it, the files just arent there. When i go to Open: All Files *.* , it would load :( and now when i try to load it, it shows all these WEIRD things, first all teh icons and things get bigger, the color quality gets worse, and a Pop-out comes up (you know the ones with the black backrounds, white text) and says all this wierd junk (plz do ask if i need to tell u what that junk is) and i click... ok and bing-bam-boom, everythings back to normal except gimp isnt working :o |

Oh... yeah, I get that black error log window when I move selections... there seem to be some glitches in the new version of it. I just minimize that window, cause when I close it, it sometimes closes the entire program, or just screws it up until I restart. Ehh... I dunno if I can help you with that. If they weren't there when you went to load, it's probably because they're such an obscure image file-type (the people who made the GIMP probably didn't foresee anyone using it with those types of files), so that's why you'd hafta open all files *.*. The only other thing I can think to ask is whether or not you are closing that black error log when it comes, up, and if you are, try not closing it. |

I use the gimp, it's excellent... I've never had any problems whatsoever... Belch, what are you using to convert the blps to tgas? |

But u see thats the thing, im not converting it at all. I use Warcraft III image extractor to get it... but it just wont find the files!! :\ Plus im not saying gimp's bad, i just cant use it, so im ever so sorry if i offended you ![]() |
