um, okay, there is no "skinning program" the easyest way to skin is first get war3 extractor 2, you can download it here. It allows you to extract skins from the game, which you can edit with any image editing program, Photoshop is the best for this. |

That is a matter of opinion, wc3ie is simpler to use and quick for finding filepaths. Wc3ie is good for viewing models and taking pictures of your image. |

I think what he means is where can he find a painting program like PSP or Photoshop Quote:
Well as mentioned above Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop are both great for skinning, however they do cost money, you can get a free trail of Paint Shop Pro at Jasc.com . Or you can use MS Paint, but lets face it, thats a crappy program... Most people here actually have pirated versions of these programs but that type of stuff is illegal so we can;t discuss that round here... If you asking what programs u need specifically for Skinning, get Warcraft 3 Viewer or Warcraft 3 Image Extractor... They are somewhere around this site but I just googled em ... |

no you cannot use ms paint. because it does not support the targa format nor the alpha channels. best bet is to download the trail of photoshop 7.01 from Adobe.com or psp from jasc.com (like spetsnatz101 said) |

would paint shop pro 8 work? |

Yes, beautifully. Make sure you have all of the updates for it, I believe it had a bug with alpha editing from the original 8.0. |
