Hello again Is it at all possible to create a non-unit something that wanders around like a tornado, disappears after a while, and has permanent immolation? I want something like a randomly moving ball of fire, that moves around where it was summoned... and well.. burns people, then disappears after a while. if possible, it'd be preferred if i could stay out of the world editor - i want to use this as my lvl15 heretic ultimate ability in melee games :D cheers, htek |

Ummm, i thought that editor was here precisely for the reason of doing such stuff, why stay out of... what? Anyway, the editor way would be to summon a unit with a spell based on an inferno, and that unit would have immolation, flying and the locust ability, making it unselectable, so it doesn't seem like a unit (can't be targeted or selected). |

why not do the following make a unit with locust, tornado wander / wander (tornado) and a cutom immolation that damages what ever you want it to damage... alternatively to making a custom imolation, you can give the tornado an attack with a range of 50/75/100 something along those lines and make it only allowed to attack what ever units u want it to. |

Although it's entirely possible to do what you want through direct SLK manipulation, you do realize that you won't be able to play ladder melee games with a modified MPQ, don't you? |

indeed, i realize that i won't be able to play online ladder games with a modified MPQ - i've been doing this for a while now you know. so... how would i go about this? the main thing is that it can't be like the "Disease Cloud" "unit" thing - you know, the Undead Disease Cloud. it has to be some kind of buff - how would i make it unselectable in the SLK? also, in the slk, can i add completely new units if i modify the appropriate txt files along with it? cheers, htek |

I know nothing about slk editing, but the ability "Aloc" might work for you. This is assuming you still have TFT though, locust is a TFT spell. |

Well, that wouldent work good, the lokust will just fly to the hero and from the hero and again to the hero and from the hero, you can make a summoning spell (summons a unit) and the unit has the nutrals' units ability, i forgot the name, well you know, like the sheep the pig they just walk around by themselfs and you can do the same. |

How bout you, 1) Change Model to Tornado 2) Give unit Wander, and some type of speadspell (like immolation or Poison cloud) 3) Give unit invulnerablity 4) Set HP Regen to Negative. If you can edit wander, even better. haven't tried tho And if all else fails, triggers. :D |

Just giving a unit the Locust ability makes it untargetable, unselectable, and not showing up on the minimap. The Locust *Swarm* ability is what makes units fly about and return to the hero, TheReaper. Locust is the ability of choice for making a unit outside the ability of players to affect it. |
