I have a screen shot uploaded and it shows a strange black fog covering the background, and no, I do not have a black fog on, is there anyway to fix that strange blackness at all? or is it just my 17" LCD monitor? |

You probably have game-view settings set on. In the view menu, find the option that looks soemthing like "Game-view" and un-tick it (shortcut key = V). Unless you change the default settings, there will always be some degree of black fog leading up to the maximum view distance of any map. |

That's my point, the game, by default has a max view distance. Leading up to that view distance will be some black fog. You can fiddle with the fog options in the scenario options menu and try to change that. The reason this happens is that if the game tried to render the full shot from the angle you have chosen, it would likely kill your system because it'd have to render EVERY single object in that cone of view, regardless of how far away it is or if it is blocked by something. WC3 doesn't do object occlusion very well. |
