Tree modeling in 3ds max

OK, I want to make a new model for trees in my map, I want to make a mineral, but it has to have the tree material right? So when I check the WC3 preview, its looks all green and treeish, which is fine because i made a new tree skin. But when I import the model to WE and use it as a tree, it says it cannot ready the file. But when I use it as a unit, it works fine. What do I do?

Sorry bout that. Im really despet and need this for a map. Its the last thing to do before release.
