its very difficult, what youll want to do is use something like WinMPQ and extract umm, i thing its like spells.slk or something cant remember, then open it using Microsoft Excel, if you dont have that do some research for something that can open .slk's, after doing that youll have to copy the line of the file to the end and edit the values, then theres a text file in the mpq, cant remeber its name, to edit the name/tooltips then import them into your map. now to use it in a map, youll have to open it up, edit to add the skills to units/items, then save your map and re-import the files (cause WE deletes any foriegn files) now if you want to do a trigger based spell you have to either use wards and/or summons and use the event Unit-Unti enters (entire map) and do a test if its your abilitie unit OR as an alternative you could just upgrade to TFT ;) |

The software comes with the war 3 modder pack, has a spell editor. On that topic: WHat does tft do for the custom creation of spells? |

theres something called the object editor, which replaes the unit editor, it mallows you to edit units, items, doodads, abilities and buffs, which makes it 10x easier to eeedit spells also, those "spell editor" sometimes wont work and most cant edit the .txt files that contain the tooltips upgrading to tft is much easier, and its only 20$USD |
