You probably all know "Zelda: A Link To The Past": at some point in the game you are able two travel between the Dark and the Light World. The terrain of these worlds is nearly identical, but everything else changes... I wondered if this is possible in a wc3 map, played around a bit and got it working after a while. The transition is seamlessly, the effect is cool and it works in multiplayer games... thought i'll share this with you :) You'll need WEU to open the map though... if there's demand, i'll do some explaining. Expect to see this in my next project :D |

I didn't dl it or anything, nor have I played Zelda 3. But the terrain being the same cept everything else changes isn't really that hard I don't think. Divide the map into 2 parts. and when unit enters region, transport to other part of map. Is there something I am missing? |

Is your avatar.... a JPEG image? Did I get it? ... Heh, anyway... Bio, are you talking about doing it EXACTLY like the zelda games? Like, using triggers or something to change the entire map? |

that's it, essentially... its the details that make it special (in my opinion).. the way its done... or maybe its just me being too happy with the endresult :) |

Logik, there's a trigger contest on this (link in my sig), and I'm participating, so I can't tell you how I'm doing it, but wait untill the contest finishes and you'll probably have some maps to look at (well, at least one :) ). |

dont worry. i had a hunch you either did seperate sections or use a trigger to edit each and every bit of terrain... but i got WEU and had a look - and good job ay? i might something along those lines. |
