Rotation Doodads to the extreme

Anyone wanna tell me how to completely changing way a doodad is positioned? Like Say I have a Stretched Barrel thats straight like this | and I want it to be positioned like this \ or like this / If i could get some help it would be greatly appreciated ^_^ thanks

you need to set the pitch and roll ange to something other than 0, then carefuly raise or lower the terrain underneath, so its on a slope
