Just sudennly started doing this for no good reason. anytime I try to load any map in my map editor... It starts the map editor intro screen and then just crashes without even an error message..
I did, and I updated it to version 1.04... I unistalled it and re-installed it, ran the patch... the editor loads but when I try to load most maps, it quits without error and the few maps that do load up are completely screwed up, no bondries, no height variation...
But if I load up the same map through the game, it works fine
Ya, just a no-cd'er... But I hadn't done any changes with any files for a long time... and I've made and modded dozens and dozens of maps since... and all of a sudden just out of the blue. even after I re-installed without the no-cd crack it still did the same thing.
That would be my guess. And if you're using a nocd just make CloneCD copy of your war3 disk and put it on your HD. Then load with something like Phantom CD or Daemon Tools. That gets past the cd protection and you dont need the cd in the drive.
I had an error like that also and no matter what I did it would not fix. Reinstalls everything. What I did to finally get it to work was unistall it. Search the registry for any remains of warcraft III or WorldEditor. Then reinstall it it should work. Although I was using a CD.
