What's the best freeware modelling program

I wanna start modelling, but I need a modelling program that's free and easy to use for a newb like me.

well I use Gmax and that has worked for me

I would also say Gmax, since it has almost all the features that 3ds max has.

i would say wings 3d..or a free version of houdini..which also kicks ass

gmax is quite good... but im sorry no where near the amount of features.

it actually has a lot of them it just can't render and some of the other stuff

I dont want to argue about this... but
it has some of the main features someone here would probably use but as a whole gmax cant come close to touching 3ds it has so much more.. and that is why its 3000$
