What's up.. after just about finishing an aos map, I wanted to start a rpg. My aos team (2 other people) didn't want to do a rpg. So I thought I would post here, see if anyone wants to join up with me. As I have a curse, where I can no complete any map without a team...dont know why. I'm not really looking for any type of person wither it be skinner or trigger...er. I'm avarage at everything, I just want a group (but skinnin//modelin). Here is a little overview of the game....

Sounds like a cool concept for a Warcraft map...I have yet to see a decent Warcraft version of Mortal Kombat. Unfortunately, the last taste of Mortal Kombat I had was the old Sega Genesis game...I doubt I'm up to date enough to help, but here's some advice.
Post more of your ideas for the map, what it's going to be like...a hero arena? or a dota? Post what kind of conflict there's going to be, what story it's going to follow and what kind of player-interaction is there going to be (ie: a massive FFA, or everyone is on the same team, trying to accomplish a singular goal). This will draw more attention and consequently...more applicants to team up with you.

The whole idea sounds very interesting to me, and i've got an additional idea you might like to hear. Otherwise I'd like to help build the map. As far as a website, I am good with HTML and CSS as well. You mentioned not wanting skins or models, but I think later it would be a bit more interesting to have maybe a few skins, like a ninja skin for all the ninjas and tint that way. I am pretty good with triggers and unit balancing, and enjoy making unique skills etc.

Email me at [email protected] if you would like my help.

Okay then. Well I have came up with a more in depth idea of a real RPG for Warcraft, but I still want to use Mortal Kombat. The battles will be turned based like Final Fantasy. You will be given 10 seconds (more or less) to unload on the enemy units. You stop, then one of your allies go. Then the monsters attack you. I don't know if it will work as well as the other, as it involved no micro. But that way, it would be even more like a real rpg.

I thonk you should keep the original style of MK:DA, i was also wondering wether you were gonna do all the stances as completely new models, attcahment models, or not bother?

Mk RPG? I just have a suggestion, I think you should make a multiplayer map where the map has 10 recreated scenes form the games (The Pit from # 1 for example) People face against each other and the victor moves on to the next round to fight the victory from the previous, rotating maps of course, like so:

Fighter1
vs <-- Battle 1
Fighter2
Winner Battle 1
vs
Winner Battle 2
Fighter 3
vs <-- Battle 2
Fighter 4

I already made a map just like that on ROC. It worked out pretty well, as I tried to use what I had to re-create the rounds from MK1 and MK2.

About stances and skins/models: I actully didn't even think about stances, that would defently be a nice thing to add in, and if I do, you will defently be given credit. With skins, I realise that a rpg would be boring if it didn't have any new skins or what not. I just started making skins the other day, and I'm not very good. If someone comes along who has already make skins, and well, wants to join, awesome! If not, I guess I'll just have to get better huh.
