I need help with something people, I have two images, one a background, one a character, and I'd like to merge the two without using multiply. I may know how to do art, but I'm clueless when trying to edit photos without using a brush. |

Post the pictures here, or if for some reason you don't want the public to see them, work out a way to send them to me. I can't outline a specific method, because I don't have in my mind a particular methodology, but there are many ways one can go about merging two images. Myself, I like to use matte painting in tandem with whatever other methods I may choose to combine the pictures. If you'd like to do it yourself, I would recommend using a lasso of course to remove the brunt of the crap from the foreground picture. Using color channels, if it applies, may be a way to isolate the character. Otherwise, you might have to play with different layer composite methods until you find something suitable, and you might have to go in there later with your brush to touch it up. |

er... does the character have a white back ground or another background with stuff behind it. if it has a white background, just highlight the whole thing, get teh magic wand, and deselect the white part. you mare get some grey or white on teh edeges so you may have to clean it up. or you can just copy the picture, paste it into the background picture on a seperate layer and just erase the parts that you dont want. i hope this helps. |
