I work for IlldianStormrage maker of the Seas of Sorrow camapgin. (Written by my boss) Seas of Sorrow takes place between The Frozen Throne and World of Warcraft, portraying four main events: Foundations of Blood The Orc campaign, Foundations of Blood, is currently in beta. It details the Orcs of Lordaeron and shows how the alliance was forged between the Forsaken and the Horde. The campaign will be 7 maps long, with "map" 6 being a Founding of Durotar-style map. I have finished (Completely, except for some bug and AI issues) maps 2, 3, 4, and 4 interlude. The reason map 1 is not completed is because during beta I was informed by several of my testers that the start was too sudden, that I should include either a prologue or a new map 1 to ease you into the campaign. Resistance Amid the Ruins The Human campaign is currently in pre-developement stages. The mission plans are set and map 1 is in developement. It will be centered around Finnall Goldensword and her mission in rallying the remaining humans, elves, and half-elves, as well as a few Dwarves, into a new alliance known as The Scarlet Crusade, with the objective of destroying the undead and retaken their homeland. Crown of the Earth The Night Elf campaign, as the human campaign, is in pre-developement stages. It portrays the Druid's growing Teldrassil, the new world tree. Mission plans are set and only await start. Lands of Damnnation The Undead campaign, Lands of Damnnation, actual consists of two different yet interweaving stories. The first portrays the Forsaken, securing their lands, fighting of the Crusade, and ravaging the Scourge. The second portrays the Scourge, led by Kel'Thuzad trying to secure a place in Lordaeron or Quel'Thalas, to fulfill Arthas final request before leaving Lordaeron: to watch over the lands. Currently unstarted. Features Features ya say? Well, Seas of Sorrow will have much to offer: Custom Skins and models: SoS wil have custom skins and models. There will not be too many, but enough that it will looks custom. Custom music: Custom music will be kept to a minimum, but there will be some. Mostly from the Lord of the Rings soundtracks. Custom tech-trees: Every race will have altered or completely new tech trees. Such as, the NE will be centered around Druids, having the tier 1 unit be the "Druid Warrior". The Undead will be seperated, with the Forsaken relying on strong melee with only moderate numbers and the Scourge relying on large numbers. I am trying to devise a balanced way for the Undead to use mana as the basic material. Custom Voicing: If our nice pals at Savage and some other people will, which I know they will do voicing there will be full voiceovers. High quality, bug free triggers: Says it all right there. High quality Cinematics: though I even agree the cinematics in the current version aren't super good, the next will be. I have way improved since I started in December. High qual AI: same as above. Right now it, well the AI really doesn't work right now. I am getting it done and next version the AI will pwn you! (Well I hope it isn't that hard). Beta Download (Sign up at the Mappers Guild is required, sorry) now to my point. we are making a blue dragonspawn hero (a scalebane the smartest of the dragonspawn) Basically we're going to edit the blue dragonswpan model but because me and him are the only real staff we can not come up with a good hero idea. any help will be appercated. We just need ideas for spells and such. Also what weapon should the hero have. thank u. ^_^ |

I think a giant Halberd will look nice as a weapon. Also, what type of hero is he? Strength, Intelligence or Agility? A couple of spells: Ice Saber: Infuses an ally's wepon with cold magic, allowing him to do cold damage (orb of frost). Mind Up: Increases an ally's mana regen and makes it invulnerable to magic. |

Hmm... Well, I think that he'd look cool with rather large wings and a, for strength, great sword, for agility, two katanas, and for intelligence, glowing, blue energy on his hands. For abilities, I would suggest some of these:
Now, some history on the Dragonspawn and how they are viewed by the other races.
Now some facts on Kel'Thuzad and the Forsaken: As far as all out power goes, Kel'Thuzad is far greater then Sylvanus. He was once an archmage of great power and death only hones concentration and time only furthers power. He could easily hold as more undead to his will then Sylvanus, who would have to rely more on domination and Variamathras then her own ability. Also, since he gains power from his own magical abilities, the Lich King's weakening would be inefectual in actually harming his ability. Kel'Thuzad also has the advantage of not being torn by war like the Sylvanus is, due to the Dreadlords. Finally, a note on the effect of Arthas' success on the future of the Forsacken: The only reason Sylvanus ever got free is because Ner'zhul had been weakened by the ice fracture; not permently, just until it was repaired. Once Ner'zhul got ahold of a physical body to go into, his full power was retored and thus, all Kel'thuzad would have to do is keep Sylvanus off long enough for Ner'zhul to restore himself and then he could re-dominate Sylvanus and probably either be amused by her attempts and leave her a slave or be angry and kill her. Basically, Sylvanus could just one day be about to win and the next day find herself unable to do anything; hearing nothing but the voice of Ner'zhul in her mind. Being mindless, the majority of the Undead would be instantly brought under Ner'zhul's dominion. Only the one's of which stilll held a mind could hold against him for a while. Of these, the Necromancers, Bansees, Variamathras, and Sylvanus, the Necromancers would likely return to his command immediately, as they are loyal to Kel'Thuzad. THe banshees and Sylvanus would resist, but would only be able to have any hope with the help of Variamathras due to his demonic powers. Variamathras himslef would only fall under Ner'zhul's influence if he were killed and raised. although he may very well betray Sylvanus to Ner'zhul for a seat of power. I'd test your map, but only if you put it on War3sear.ch or somesuch, because I'm not overly keen about joining somewhere just to get one map... |

Dragons are well known for being very vain and self-important. They see themselves as above mortals; with the exception of a few, who are more reasonable and respectful like the main Dragon Flight leaders that the NE respect. Most however, see the Dragonspawn as half breeds and inferior. To support this; I use the centaur as an example. The Centaur were actually spawned from Cenaurius, but because of the specifics of their birth, they are considered mongrel, half-breeds and are thus disgusting to the Night Elf. The Dragonspawn are the same; not really dragons, but not really what ever else they are. Their basically 'half-dragons'. As I said earlier, the dragon's see the Dragonspawn more as servants then anything, and thus would likely use them as soldiers. |

i don't want to argue about this but i am quoeting the Manual of Monsters "The dragonflights of Azeroth are not without retainers and assistants. NOBLE HUMANOIDS serve the dragons with absolute loyalty, acting as footmen, soldiers, assistants, and companions. They are endwoed with the dragons' mystic abilites and virtious qualities. Exactly how they came to being is a mystery that the dragons do not chose to solve. Though they have dragon-like qualities, these creatures are not descended from dragons. Instead, they are distant kinfolk, descended from humaniods who spent their lives so close to the dragons that they took on the qualities of their masters after generations of service. It sounds like dragons like um and night elves like dragons. |

I was unaware of that. I will concede; you are correct. I was drawing on my experience from other fantasy realms, as I have only my knowledge of what was actually in Warcraft to go on and was thus unaware. I apologize. What I was referring to is what I suppose would be called a "Half-dragon" or a cross between a dragon and something else. I had assumed that these were a such, but apparently I was wrong. Once again, I apologize. |
